85% of European consumers live in hard water areas.

Hard water is responsible for a variety of undesired effects in the house:

  • Scale deposits in hot water tanks and boilers reduces their lifespan and their efficiency, while increasing energy consumption,
  • Scale deposits in piping, valves and fittings reduces life span and overall water pressure,
  • Scale deposits in household equipment: washing machine, dishwasher, steam iron, coffee machine, etc reduces their lifespan and their efficiency.
  • Scale deposits on and in piping,
  • White stains on glasses and cutlery,
  • Increased consumption of detergents ...

Water Softeners are by far the most popular water treatments as they eliminate the undesired effects of hard water. However, water softeners are expensive, need space, use a lot of salt, need electricity and they waste water during regeneration. HydroBlend is an excellent and cheaper alternative to water softener.

Water from wells containing iron and/or manganese causes stains on valves, fittings, sinks, toilets, etc. If these metals are dissolved in the water, HydroBlend in its FE formulation will control these unwanted effects. It will not remove the metal from the water but it will prevent unwanted effects. If the treated water contains a high level of metals, the metallic taste will not disappear. However the implementation of a dialyser such as Neptune will solve this problem. Furthermore, its Membrane element
will be protected against metals by HydroBlend.

In some well waters and some water networks the corrosion of piping, fittings and valves is a serious issue. This is due to various factors, particularly low ph (aggressive water). In most cases HydroBlend (CW formulation) solves this issue. Nonetheless, if you send us a complete water analysis we will advise you.

The FA-605-TW is generally the system advised for residential application. Its life span is of 160 m³, or 12 months for a family of 4 to 7 people. If you wish to place an order, please specify which type of water treatment you want (scale, corrosion, iron or combination).
